How to Calculate Your Life Path Number
Your Life Path Number is calculated by reducing your birth date to a single digit (or master number 11, 22, or 33). There are two methods you can use:
Method 1: Add All Digits
Birth date: July 20, 1985 (7/20/1985)
Step 1: 7 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 5 = 32
Step 2: 3 + 2 = 5
Life Path Number: 5
Method 2: Reduce Each Component First (Preferred)
Birth date: November 29, 1990
Month: 11 (Master Number - keep as is)
Day: 29 = 2 + 9 = 11 (Master Number - keep as is)
Year: 1990 = 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19 = 1 + 0 = 1
Total: 11 + 11 + 1 = 23 = 2 + 3 = 5
Life Path Number: 5
Important: Master Numbers
If your calculation results in 11, 22, or 33 before the final reduction, you have a Master Number. These are not reduced further as they carry special spiritual significance. Check out our master numbers guide for more details.
